Acceptable Use Policy

The VLE (Blackboard) is part of the I.T. services offered by North Glasgow College and its use is governed by the Acceptable Use policy currently operated by North Glasgow College. By accessing the Virtual Learning Environment operated by North Glasgow College you accept and agree to be bound by all the Terms and Conditions contained within the Acceptable Use Policy.

If you do not accept all of the Terms, you should not use the Site.

In addition to the Acceptable Use Policy in operation at North Glasgow College the following conditions apply to the use of the College VLE.

The VLE Site contains discussion boards, texting facilities and other interactive areas which enable text-based communication. As an individual you are responsible for the content of the material you post and as such:

• Your postings should not be offensive or abusive in any way.
• Your posts will be visible to all those registered to a course.
• Your posts should be concerned with the topic of the discussion and their content should be in keeping with this.
• Use of obscenities of any kind is not acceptable.
• The use of text messaging should be work related and the content should be appropriate. All information contained within the message should conform with ALL the standards and policies of North Glasgow College.

If you discover a post that you consider to be offensive, you may wish to contact your group tutor or email the System Administrator.

North Glasgow College reserves the right to review, remove, edit or otherwise block any material that you post or to suspend or terminate your access to the Site for violating the above provisions.
